Test Engineer Responsibilities
- Understanding the functionality and preparing detailed testing scenarios and test cases.
- Understanding the overall functionalities of the product and coming up with the integration testing scenarios.
- Setting up the required test data and carrying out the detailed testing and documentation of the test results.
- Carrying out the functional and non-functional testing.
- Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures.
- Writing up the final QA and test procedures for the quality technicians.
- Training the quality assurance staff and providing technical support when needed.
- Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
- Preparing test reports.
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate system response, reliability, and scalability.
Test Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Total 2-6 years of work experience.
- Previous work experience of 2+ years as a test engineer in the e-commerce/ERP/SCM/Retail domain.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques and tools.
- Experience in creating and executing test cases, test plans and test scripts.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exposure in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in API Testing with tools like Postman.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
