We are pleased to announce that our Mobile Point of Sale (mPOS), ETP Mobile Store V5.5 R10 has achieved the PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This demonstrates our dedication to providing secure, reliable, and compliant payment solutions. ETP V5.5, an omni-channel retail solution, is developed by ETP Group, a leading unified commerce company.
What This Means for You
For leading supermarkets and retail brands, safeguarding every transaction is paramount. The ETP Mobile Store V5.5 R10’s PCI DSS v4.0.1 certification offers unparalleled assurance that every transaction is streamlined, secure, and fully PCI compliant. It confirms our platform's robust capabilities for secure card payments, seamless EDC device integration, reliable cloud payment API connections, and safe digital wallet integrations. This means you can process, transmit, and store customer payment information with the highest level of validated security and confidence, significantly reducing your risk exposure.
Why is PCI DSS Compliance Non-Negotiable
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0.1 establishes the most stringent global benchmarks for protecting payment card data throughout its lifecycle. Our certification signifies ETP Mobile Store V5.5 R10 has undergone rigorous independent validation, encompassing:
- Secure handling, transmission, and storage of all payment data
- Regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
- Enhanced password complexity and authentication mechanisms for superior user security.
Seamless and Secure Transaction Processing
Such payment transactions can either be processed manually or through integration. During the transaction of an invoice, the ETP Mobile Store application user (cashier in a retail store) utilizes the bank/payment gateway provided by the PIN Transaction Security (PTS) POS device as the primary method to conduct the card transaction. Upon completing the card transaction in the PTS POS device, the ETP Mobile Store application permits the user (cashier) to manually enter the truncated card number (first 6 and last 4 digits) and expiration date to finalize the card transaction or receive it electronically.
When ETP’s customers need the capability to accept truncated card numbers (first 6 and last 4 digits) and expiration dates within the ETP Mobile Store application, ETP configures the application to gather and transmit this data to the specific servers or cloud integration platform designated by the customer.
Our ETP Mobile Store app now stands among the best in adhering to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) regulations and payment compliance, providing our customers with robust security while ensuring regulatory compliance. The ETP Mobile Store application directly communicates with the ETP Store application (hosted in the customer environment) to transmit the captured data as part of the transaction.
Our Commitment to Security and Innovation
This certification is a powerful testament to ETP Group's relentless pursuit of excellence. It reflects our team's dedication to securing every payment transaction and adhering to the highest global standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, ensuring complete peace of mind for you and your customers.
