  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and gross-margin tracking
  • Embed cost awareness into design reviews and CI/CD workflows
  • Educate engineering teams on cost-aware design practices

Tooling & automation

  • Integrate billing data (GCP Billing export, AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management)
  • Automate reporting and controls using Terraform, Python, SQL, BI tools
  • Automate tagging, cleanup of idle resources, and policy enforcement

Required skills & experience

Experience

  • 3+ years in cloud engineering / DevOps / SRE
  • 1–3+ years hands-on FinOps or cloud cost optimization
  • Experience with at least GCP and preferably any one of AWS, & Azure.
  • Proven cost reduction or unit economics improvement in a SaaS environment

Skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes, serverless, and managed databases
  • Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting for automation
  • Ability to translate usage data into business metrics

Soft skills

Success indicators (6–12 months)

  • 90%+ cloud spend properly tagged and allocated
